After several conversations with our lovely guests, we've decided to put together an FAQ that we hope will be helpful in planning trips!
Where is the wedding anyway?!
The ceremony and reception will be held in Ojai, CA on June 23rd at a private residence called "Rolling Thunder Ranch." We will post the address as soon as we have it, most likely about a week before the wedding.
How many days should we stay?
As long as you want! Ojai is pretty beautiful, so feel free to make a vacation out of it or just come for the day of the reception, whatever you like. We will be at the Ranch from June 22nd-24th (Saturday-Monday).
What should I bring?
Yourself! Here are some other suggestions:
-Bathing suite
-Hiking gear
-Dancing shoes
-Any food, beverages, etc. you'd like to contribute, feel free to bring your specialty! We'd like to keep the event vegetarian and alcohol-free (sorry Charlie Sheen)
Where should we stay?
There are a few other weddings happening the same weekend in Ojai, so while there are several accommodations in town they are filling up quick. But don't worry: Ventura (30 min), Oxnard (35 min), Santa Paula (27 min), and even Santa Barbara (45 min) are all fairly close. Let us know if you have any trouble finding a cozy spot.
We also recommend vrbo.com and airbnb.com to find local renters/rooms from local residents.
Is there a gift registry?
No, we are not asking for/expecting gifts. If you feel like you want to contribute to something, we welcome contributions to our moving and/or honeymoon fund :) We also accept Frankincense and Myrrh.
Are we doing a reception in Michigan and Seattle as discussed? When?
Yes! We don't have exact dates for Seattle yet, but we are coming to Detroit August 2nd-6th! Yay!
